Rental & Utility Assistance Application Process

This application is available to those who live in the City of Dallas and City of Garland

Please note whether you are seeking rental or utility assistance, we are unable to assist towards past due balances. Payment can only be made towards the current month’s balance. Example: If applying for assistance in the month of September, the only amount that can be owed is September’s balance. All previous balances MUST be paid off prior to submitting an application. 

Documents Required:

Photos & Screenshots from your phone will NOT be accepted. Please submit ALL documents in a PDF format. Failure to provide all documentation will result in an automatic denial.

I’VE APPLIED, NOW WHAT?

Submitting an application does NOT guarantee funding. The timeline from application submittal to funding is approximately 2 to 3 weeks.

Funds are reserved once:

  1. Eligibility is established
  2. Complete supporting documentation has been submitted and verified
  3. Funding decision has been made.

Promptly completing your application and uploading all required documents will expedite your application. Due to the volume of applicants, there is no need to call to inquire about the status of your application. You will be contacted as soon as your application is reviewed.

Once your application is reviewed, a case manager will contact you to schedule a phone intake.

Once your interview is complete and qualifying documents are received and approved, Under 1 Roof’s Case Management team will process your application.
